It is a Kendriya Vidyalaya, operating under the auspices of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school opened in 1983. Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri was established in 1963. Spread over 15 acres, the Vidyalaya has three separate blocks for Primary, Secondary, and Senior Secondary with a football court, a volleyball court, an athletic track, Multipurpose Hall and two large playgrounds.
