Champlin (/ ˈ tʃ æ m p l ə n / CHAMP-lən) [6] is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 23,919 at the 2020 census . [ 3 ] Champlin is a northern suburb of Minneapolis .
Champlain is approximately 43 miles (69 km) south of Montreal. According to the 2010 United States census, the town has a total area of 58.8 square miles (152.3 km 2), of which 51.2 square miles (132.7 km 2) is land and 7.6 square miles (19.6 km 2), or 12.90%, is water.
