The movie was released theatrically nationwide in Japan on September 13, 2008. As of October 23, 2008, the movie had grossed over ¥800,000,000 (US$8,000,000) at the box office, becoming the most commercially successful movie in the history of the Ultraman franchise, [2] until it was surpassed by the 2022 film Shin Ultraman.
Shin Asuka (アスカ・シン, Asuka Shin) [1] is the main protagonist of Ultraman Dyna and is Ultraman Dyna's human host. Aged 22 years old in the series, he is light-hearted overall, and is one of the rare Ultra human hosts who also serves as the comic relief of the main cast.
Taking place 15 years after Shin Asuka (Ultraman Dyna) disappeared through a black hole at the series's ending, Earth has since then set up a space station on Mars in Asuka's honor and memory.
