The Rajendra Prasad Pandey cabinet is the incumbent provincial government of Bagmati Province. It was formed after Rajendra Prasad Pandey was sworn in as Chief Minister on 27 October 2021. The Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province is formed under Article 175 of the Constitution of Nepal 2015 which guarantees a provincial legislature for each province in the country. The first provincial elections were conducted for all seven provinces in Nepal and the elections in Bagmati Province was conducted for 110 seats to the assembly.

The first Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections in Nepal. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system.
Bagmati Province is the most industrialized province and has maintained the leading position in the economic sector in Nepal. With GDP of NPR 1.43 Trillion (as of 2019), [23] Bagmati alone is the single largest contributor to the national economy with a share of 36.8% in the country's GDP.
