I did a load for Coyote last night after they called in the afternoon. First one ever and this thread has always been in the back of my mind. They're ok in my book, right down to business very professional, no hesitation whatsoever on my rate. Load was heavy but the pick & delivery were a breeze and the rate was top notch a-ok.

  4. What load boards post rates? - TruckersReport

24,847. Mar 29, 2008. TN. 0. Coyote in house board has rates on 99% of the loads. All are way below market. Posted rates are a kind psychological manipulation to anchor the price and influencing your counter bid closer to where THEY want the rate to be. You automatically say to yourself, well there's no way $500 or a $1,000 or however much over ...

  5. Real life example of Load Boards and rates. - TruckersReport

    www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/real-life-example-of...

The Load Board is DAT. The version I use has the 15 day market rates. The load is a Coyote load from Kansas City, MO to Cheyenne, WY. Coyote has posted an offer rate of $1400. The miles are 635. So this load would seem to be a good run. It is only one day and it pays more then my minimum of $1000 a day.

  7. UPS freight owner operator - TruckersReport

    www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/ups-freight-owner...

UPS freight (blue) is Overnite (formally). If you're looking for working for Brown thats UPS Cartage. Everything was bait and switched, very unorganized. Run you like hell, all over and it's not really UPS loads/freight that you haul. They bought a major stake into Coyote Load board, and pulls you freight from many different brokers and agents.

I've been solicited by them many times in the past. They tried to tell me a load I had called on was a 'priority load' and only established carriers with them could haul it (hauled more than 6 loads)... the load was only going to be $500 for 200 miles. I found the same load with another broker (surprise!) and they were paying $600.

  11. Question about UPS owner operator - TruckersReport

    www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/question-about-ups...

I already know about the pay, and things of that nature. I just wondered how much of UPS truckload on the owner-operator side, is actually terminal to terminal? The recruiter says 85%, advertisements say anywhere from 90 to 98%. I just don't want to end up hauling a bunch of freight of the coyote load board. Thanks
