You probably want to use some vinyl patch or other skimming compound, applied with a long (16" or longer) trowel. "Embossing leveler" might be ok. "Embossing leveler" might be ok. Read labels to find something for the thickness you need and for the substrates you have.
The floor of my laundry room was three layers of hideous vinyl flooring of various vintages, a layer of 3/4" plywood underlayment (to match the height of the vinyl to surrounding hardwood flooring) and a subfloor of diagonal 1x6ish planks. I removed the vinyl and replaced the rotting plywood.

One vinyl plank floor we installed mentioned super glue for repairs. Literally, in the manufactures documentation super glue was the only repair method. Thought it was crazy till we tested it by glueing some edges together without the locking edge (we cut it off); after the glue setup it tore the vinyl before the glued seam came apart. –
The last picture is of the flooring laid under the floorboard and under the drywall. You can see the gap is enough to still see space between the flooring and the wall. The pictures do not show the depth very well. I did call Shaw, and they did not seem to understand what I was asking. She just kept saying you need an expansion gap.
1. I am installing vinyl plank flooring. I am stuck at the door. The problem is that I have a gap (for expansion) that is near to entry door. I want to hide this gap as this looks ugly (see image attached). Please suggest how I can hide this gap. Note this is entry way door. Any information will be really helpful. Thank you.
I am laying vinyl plank flooring, and have ended up with the skinny strip problem at the end of the room. I don't want to tear the whole thing up and start again (economically impractical, apart from anything).
Walking on flooring compresses it and then it bounces back. Each step creates a tiny wave that momentarily lifts the flooring away from the subflooring and gives it a nudge in a direction to move. Over time, even a small slope can encourage the flooring to try to walk, either as a unit or a portion.
