Roger Joseph Zelazny (May 13, 1937 – June 14, 1995) [2] was an American fantasy and science fiction writer known for his short stories and novels, best known for The Chronicles of Amber.
Amber was produced by Screenworks Ireland for RTÉ, with funding from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The series was produced in 2011, [3] and following a distribution deal with Content Media Corporation, the series broadcast in Denmark, Sweden, Israel, Latin America, Brazil, Canada and Australia before premiering in its native country. Roger Zelazny (or possibly one of his doppelgängers) makes a cameo in his own novel as "Roger" — a cadaverous, grinning, pipe-smoking guard in Amber's dungeon who is writing a "philosophical romance shot through with elements of horror and morbidity".
