NU.nl (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈny pʏnt ɛnˈɛl]) is a Dutch online newspaper. NU.nl writes their own news articles and employs several reporters to gather news in the field. The website has two full-time political editors in The Hague. Lindsay Mossink is the editor-in-chief of NU.nl. NU.nl is owned by the Belgian media group DPG Media.

After her study Journalism, Steenhuizen started at RTL Nieuws. She worked for more than three years on the editorial staff of 5 in the Land and RTL Nieuwsmagazine, the predecessor of Editie NL. In June 2002 she started at Radio M Utrecht as a reporter. Not long after that, Steenhuizen was also allowed to do television work.
