[ 2 ] The diocese has two cathedrals: St Ann's Cathedral in Great Falls , dedicated in 1907, and St Patrick's Co-Cathedral in Billings , dedicated in 1908.
Fleming was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Helena on May 19, 1992 by Eldon F. Curtiss, Bishop of Helena. [4] [2] After his 1992 ordination, the diocese assigned Fleming as parochial vicar of the Anaconda Catholic Community in Anaconda Four years later, he was transferred to the Saint Helena Cathedral Parish to serve as associate pastor there.

Michael William Warfel (born September 16, 1948) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who was bishop of the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings in Montana from 2007 to 2023. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Juneau in Alaska from 1996 to 2007.
The cathedral was extensively renovated in 1953 in anticipation of the diocese's Golden Jubilee the following year. Pope John Paul II renamed the Great Falls Diocese the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings on February 14, 1980. [4] At that time, St. Patrick's Church in Billings joined St. Ann's as the co-cathedral of the diocese.

The first parish in Billings was named St. Joachim, and it was established in 1887. [2] By the turn of the 20th century Billings was in need of a larger church and St. Patrick's was established. The present church building was built in the Gothic Revival style in 1904 for $64,000. [2] An extensive renovation of the church took place in 1954.
