Champions: Return to Arms is a 2005 action role-playing video game developed by Snowblind Studios and published by Sony Online Entertainment for the PlayStation 2 Set in the EverQuest universe, it is the sequel to Champions of Norrath. Lost Dungeons of Norrath was the sixth expansion, released on September 9, 2003. It was made available as a digital download that month, but purchasers of the retail box version were rewarded with an in-game item (a magic bag), starting Sony's trend to include in-game items as incentive to purchase retail copies of their expansions.
Other spin-off projects were the PC strategy game Lords of EverQuest (2003) and the co-op Champions of Norrath (2004) for the PlayStation 2. After these side projects, the first proper sequel was released in late 2004, titled simply EverQuest II. [24] The game is set 500 years after the original.
