The Mitsubishi i-MiEV (MiEV is an acronym for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle [4]) is a five-door electric city car produced in the 2010s by Mitsubishi Motors, and is the electric version of the Mitsubishi i. Rebadged variants of the i-MiEV are also sold by PSA as the Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-Zero, mainly in Europe.
MIEV motors are constructed using an in-wheel motor rotor, an in-wheel motor stator, a rotor bracket, stator bracket and inverter directly behind the brakes.The batteries can be charged from a standard 15 A/200 V car charger in seven hours and with a three-phase electric power charged in 25 minutes (for up to 80 percent of full capacity). A truck version of the Minicab MiEV was launched in January 2013, [23] and sales totaled 536 units through October 2013. [22] In 2019, Japan Post ordered a total of 1,200 units, to be put into service by the end of March 2021.
