Daenerys Targaryen (/ d ə ˈ n ɛər ɪ s t ɑːr ˈ ɡ ɛər i ə n / də-NAIR-iss tar-GAIR-ee-ən) [2] is a fictional character in the series of epic fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R.
