Honeymoon Island State Park is a Florida State Park located on Honeymoon Island, a barrier island across St. Joseph Sound from Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Ozona, and Crystal Beach. The park is 385 acres (1.6 km 2 ) in land area with 2,400 acres (10 km 2 ) submerged and 4 miles (6 km) of beach .
The sound lies between the mainland and Anclote Key, Three Rooker Island, and Honeymoon Island, from the north end of Anclote Key to the Dunedin Causeway. The Anclote River feeds into St. Joseph Sound. [1] [2] There is a chain of spoil islands in St. Joseph Sound. These islands were created during the process of dredging channels in the sound [3]
Honeymoon Island State Park and Caladesi Island State Park are located in Dunedin along St. Joseph Sound on the west side. The city-owned Dunedin Marina has 194 boat slips and is one of the finest municipal marinas on the West Coast of Florida. The marina is located on the Intracoastal Waterway between Dunedin Causeway and Clearwater Causeways.

The Dunedin Causeway is a series of three bridges (the outer ones are the fixed bridges, and the middle one a double-leaf bascule bridge) that cross the St. Joseph Sound, part of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, connecting the barrier islands of Honeymoon Island State Park and the mainland of Dunedin, Florida.

It is located at the southwestern extreme of Aitutaki Lagoon, five kilometres to the southwest of the main island of Aitutaki. The island is a sand cay 710m long and up to 310m wide. [ 1 ] In front of Maina island stands a sandbar known as "Honeymoon Island" [ 2 ] named after a Canadian couple who decided to get married here.
