Hot Rod is the oldest magazine devoted to hot rodding, having been published since January 1948. [2] [3] Robert E. Petersen founded the magazine and his Petersen Publishing Company was the original publisher. Melissa Holt (born 11 December 1976) is a racing cyclist from New Zealand. She won the New Zealand National Time Trial Championships a record equaling five times and finished 2nd once. She won the New Zealand National Road Race Championships three times, finished 2nd three times and finished 3rd once.
The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is a governing body which sets rules in drag racing and hosts events all over the United States and Canada. With over 40,000 drivers in its rosters, the NHRA claims to be the largest motorsport sanctioning body in the world.

That year's racing was also the subject of a film produced by Hot Rod, "The Hot Rod Story—Drag Racing", narrated by Dick Enberg. [10] At the 1966 championship, McEwen would win the Top Fuel title, while Mike Snively did (in Roland Leong's Hawaiian, with a 7.07 second pass at 221.66 mph (356.73 km/h)) in 1967.
The 2020 NHRA Drag Racing Series was announced on May 14, 2019. [1] It was the 65th season of the National Hot Rod Association's top drag racing competition, and was scheduled for 24 races. The season began under the title sponsorship of The Coca-Cola Company, as it had been since 2002.
