The Air Route Surveillance Radar is a long-range radar system. It is used by the United States Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration to control airspace within and around the borders of the United States. The ARSR-4 is the FAA's most recent (late 1980s, early 1990s) addition to the "Long Range" series of radars.
This provides common, high-performance, unattended radars. The ARSR-4/FPS-130 is a 3-D long range radar with an effective detection range of some 250 miles and has been fully integrated with JSS at all joint use sites. These radars are generally unattended except for periodic FAA maintenance crews which visit the sites as necessary.
The United Stated Air Force selected this radar for the 3DELRR programme (3-dimensional expeditionary long range radar) in February 2022. [5] The plan is to replace the TPS-75 with 35 AN/TPY-4(V)1 by 2028. [6] 2 ordered in April 2022 for USD $75.0 million. [7] 4 ordered in February 2023 for USD $84.9 million. [7]
Podsolnukh (Sunflower) [31] - Coast-horizon shortwave station short-range radar. Designed to detect surface and air targets at a distance of 450 kilometres (280 mi). Designed for use in coastal surface and air control systems within the 200-mile (320 km) economic zone. [32] "Sunflower" allows operators to automatically and simultaneously detect ...
The AN/FPS-117 is an L-band active electronically scanned array (AESA) 3-dimensional air search radar first produced by GE Aerospace in 1980 and now part of Lockheed Martin. [1] [2] The system offers instrumented detection at ranges on the order of 200 to 250 nautical miles (370 to 460 km; 230 to 290 mi) and has a wide variety of interference and clutter rejection systems.

The AN/AWG-9 and AN/APG-71 radars are all-weather, multi-mode X band pulse-Doppler radar systems used in the F-14 Tomcat, and also tested on TA-3B. [1] It is a long-range air-to-air system capable of guiding several AIM-54 Phoenix or AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles simultaneously, using its track while scan mode.
