The Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy, started in 1999, is a philanthropic event held annually at Ping Tom Memorial Park. Every summer, teams participate in a dragon boat race tournament organized by the Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, along the Chicago River while music, food and entertainment is provided for spectators.
