The gun could be set up either pressure fed or suction. Now the problem, JGAs require huge amounts of air, 16cfm in I remember correctly. Only a 3phase compressor can deliver this amount of air. I have sprayed cellulose in garages over the years with a JGA and can really not recommend it, the volume of over spray as to be seen to be believed.
Id be using the gun for top coats and clears. I spray every chance I get so I hope to put it to use somewhat often. Once a month or so. We shoot everything from single stage Omni to decent PPG stuff. I'll be using the IR as a primer gun after the purchase. The IR isnt a bad gun, but I'm just not all that happy with it.

Soon going to purchase a spray gun. I was going with the Devilbiss Finish line FLG4. Then I saw an Iwata AirGunsa HVLP 9276 for $234.99. The Devilbiss is $215. The both come with 3 fluid tips. Does one have any advantage over the other? Anyone have a preference for one or the other? Thanks!

The FLG5 is the EU version of the SGK gun made in South America. It actually came out before the FLG4 made in the US. Given that it's a more recent spray gun with newer technology made for a more discriminating (U.S.) market, the FLG4 likely has better performance and atomization than the SGK/FLG5.

Hi guys, I found this gun on eBay and ask the seller for the tip size: Devilbiss Auto Finishline FLG3 HLVP Gravity Spray Gun. This is the response I got: (Number 3 HLVP 23 PSI Max Inlet M5) is what the nozzle says. SO any idea what size this might be? if the "m5" is an inch it would seem to convert as .005 = 1.3mm.
