Philosophia: A Global Journal of Philosophy is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering philosophy from different traditions that was established in 1971. The journal publishes five issues per year, and it is published by Springer Nature. The editor-in-chief is Mitchell Green (University of Connecticut).
The present staff of 25 editors and approximately 200 authors hold doctorate degrees and are professors at colleges and universities around the world, most notably from the United States, Great Britain, and Australia. The submission and review process of articles is the same as that with printed philosophy journals, books and reference works.
The journal was established in 1926 "to build bridges between specialist philosophers and a wider educated public". It was edited from 1972 to 1994 by Renford Bambrough. [2] Each issue contains a "New Books" section and an editorial on a topic of philosophical or public interest. [1]
