Bullitt Group Ltd was a British-based international mobile phone and consumer electronics business. Founded in 2009 by Colin Batt, David Floyd and Richard Wharton; Bullitt designed, manufactured, marketed, and sold consumer electronic devices in partnership with global brands.
The Cat B25 is a mobile phone introduced in 2013 created by Bullitt Group with the license from Caterpillar Inc. as the first phone in the Cat phones line. The objective of the phone is to be a rugged and resilient option to be used with minimal damage.
It consists of three fields, including an 8-bit regional code (RR), a 24-bit manufacturer code, and a 24-bit manufacturer-assigned serial number. The check digit (CD) is not considered part of the MEID. The MEID was created to replace electronic serial numbers (ESNs), whose virgin form was exhausted in November 2008. [1]
ESNs are often represented as either 11-digit decimal numbers or 8-digit hexadecimal numbers. For the decimal format the first three digits are the decimal representation of the first eight bits (between 00 and 255 inclusive) and the next eight digits are derived from the remaining 24 bits and will be between 0000000 and 16777215 inclusive.
