The Waking Hour is the sole album by English band Dali's Car, a project of Peter Murphy of Bauhaus and Mick Karn of Japan. It was released in November 1984 by record label Paradox, which was created specifically to release the record (it was later reissued on Beggars Banquet ).
[1] In 1984, Murphy and Karn formed Dalís Car. The band was formed soon after Murphy and Karn left their former bands (Bauhaus and Japan, respectively). The origin of the band began with Murphy's interview by a Japanese journalist for the magazine Music Life, in which he spoke of his admiration for Mick Karn's work and his unique bass style. [1]
