TemplateData for Official URL This template is for use in infoboxes. The template outputs the website URL (e.g. "www.example.com") for the article subject with a link to the URL, using the "official website" field (field P856) from the associated Wikidata page, if available.
This template should always be substituted by prefixing "subst:" inside the template code. Thus use {{subst:Linking}} rather than {{Linking}}. You can indent the template, by typing :{{subst:Linking}}. The template does not include automatic signing. Please remember to sign by typing four tildes (~~~~) after the template syntax.
The system fetches a one-time copy of the template text and substitutes it into the page in place of the template tag. If anyone edits the template afterwards, pages that used the subst: keyword do not update. Sometimes that is what you want.
