Meadville Medical Center Health System, commonly referred to locally as simply "MMC", is a non-profit community health system located in Meadville, Pennsylvania.The health system serves the more than 75,000 residents of Crawford County, Pennsylvania, along with 150,000 additional residents in the greater northwestern Pennsylvania region.
Worthington was laid out on a tract of land called Mt. Lorenzo by Judge James Barr in 1843–1844. He chose the location due to the nearby junction of two important early stage coach routes, the east–west route from Indiana, Pennsylvania, to Butler, and the north–south route from Freeport to Emlenton.

New Bolton Center is the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine's 700 acre campus in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It is home to one of the busiest large animal teaching veterinary clinics in the nation. Since 1958, it has been located at the former South Brook Farm. [1]

The first hospital in Williamsport opened its doors around April 1, 1878. In the coming hundred or so years as the population of the area grew and fell Divine Providence was founded and opened in 1951 as a full scale emergency hospital and was the main care facility in the county. [1] The emergency department was dissolved in the 1990s.
