Simon L. Leis Jr. (/ l iː s /; born June 12, 1934 [1]) is a lawyer and local official from Cincinnati, Ohio. He served as County Prosecutor for Hamilton County (1971–1983), a judge in the Court of Common Pleas (1983–1987), and the county sheriff (1987–2012). [2]
