Trout Bog Lake, also known as Bog 12-15, is a small bog lake in Vilas County, Wisconsin. It is located near the south basin of the much larger Trout Lake. The lake is entirely surrounded by vegetation, except for a logging road that provides access to it. Being a bog, the pH is extremely low; on average it is 4.8.
The Beaver Brook Wildlife Area is a 1,968-acre (7.96 km 2) tract of protected land located in Washburn County, Wisconsin, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). The Wisconsin inland lake record lake trout was caught on Big Green Lake by Joseph Gotz on June 1, 1957, and weighed 35 lb 4 oz (16.0 kg). The Wisconsin record cisco was caught on Big Green Lake on June 12, 1969, by Joe Miller and weighed 4 lb 10.5 oz (2.11 kg). [21]
