My experience working at Kroger over the years as a dry grocery clerk. Miscellaneous. I have been working for Kroger for 23 years. I did 3rd shift grocery for 16 years. I now have been doing 2nd shift dry grocery for 4 years. In the early years we did around 400 cases some nights. Over time our store has expanded a ton.
Best: being able to joke around with your co-workers, nice customers you can have conversations with, getting something accomplished and feel good about it. Worst: high level expectations with no staff to get things complete, and the accountability is still there if not accomplished. Reply reply. Status-Wash5246.
Trader Joe’s was almost $3 cheaper!!! What’s really infuriating is that TJ is in the rich part of town too! Kroger is fucking out of control. We need competition. Legit competition. I’m so fucking sick of all this “fuck Joe Biden” talk I see online, as people routinely put the blame on him for inflation.
The real-time inventory system is constantly updating throughout the day but is not incredibly accurate. Thorough inventory assessments take a very long time. 2: No. Associates are expected to fulfill 93%+ of the items assigned to them as ordered and spend 29 seconds or less locating each item on average.

MadKingMaoXIII. •. Alot of why i hated Krogers is because the management sucked, they never wanted to help when asked. Corporate cuts hours from the departments that need them the most, mainly front end and then front end will call associates from other departments making them behind in their work.
If Kroger and Albertsons combine, there would be little to no competition throughout the state and prices would skyrocket even further. Not to mention the threat to smaller stores - this country has seen behemoths like Walmart displace the competition in small towns to become a monopoly time and time again.
Crap like “Buy 5, Save $5,” and “Save $5 when you buy $50 of P & G products.”. I don’t want 10 items, even if I can mix and match. All grocery stores are guilty of this to an extent, but damn Kroger is the absolute worst with their “sales.”. I shop mostly at Meijer and rarely have issues. 3.
