Henry IX could very well marry Madeleine of Valois. She was a daughter of King Francis I, any descendants of such a union could argue that they have a reasonable claim to the French throne. Especially if say a son of Henry IX married either Elisabeth of Valois (1545-1568) or Claude of France (1547-1575).
