Achieve. Succeed. Eastern Florida State College, formerly Brevard Community College, is a public college in Brevard County, Florida. It is a member of the Florida College System and has campuses in Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay, and Titusville, as well as a Virtual Campus. Since its inception, the college has served more than a half-million students.
It was the only public-school system and the highest-ranked Florida employer on the national list. In 2005, Brevard led the state in science in fifth and 11th grade assessments. In 2006, Brevard students took almost a third of all prizes at the state science fair, including the most first-place awards. [6] This occurred in 2007, as well.

Beginning in the 2011-12 year, the school began a new academy, known as Bayside Fine and Technical Arts Academy (ENCORE). [6] For the 2006-2007 School year Bayside was rated for the first time as an "A" school under the Florida A++ plan. The school had been rated a "B" for the previous 4 years. [citation needed]
In 1994 the school opened as a middle school and later became a Jr/Sr high in 2001. In 2014, it contained 320,474 square feet (29,773.0 m 2). [2] The campus shares the same design as Central Middle School, a middle school in West Melbourne, Florida. The school prides itself on getting students ready for College, Career, or the Military.
