The deal between Samsung and LG is not signed (yet). If that happens, it will be interesting to see what Samsung will do. I would expect they will announce at least one more OLED TV Series then (S90B/S80B for example). It is very unlikely that they will mix WOLED and QD-OLED panels within the S95B series due to different specs.
The Samsung OLED tech uses some kind of blue pixel tech, I wonder if that's a cause. OLED contrast; High refresh rates; The brightness of this newer OLED tech. However to counter some of the above: Both my phone, iPad and PC screens run at 120Hz, and they aren't a problem; My phone and laptop are both 4K OLED screens with high nit levels.
The only thing you will do is use the Calman 2021 templates when you connect to the TV. Just follow the tutorial and when you get to the CMS section of the workflow use the Fixed Grid 9 3DLUT. On the OLED use Gamma 2.4 for dark room and 2.2 for light room. BT1886 is the same as 2.4 with the OLED.
