OLED TVs are known for being some of the thinnest on the market, often just a few millimeters thick. At least until you reach the bulkier section at the back where the components are housed, that is. Sony has taken note of customer feedback about this design and has made changes to the BRAVIA 8.
Last year, Sony broke new ground by introducing its first QD OLED television, the A95K, which set a high bar in terms of both visual quality and technology for the company's OLED lineup. It garnered attention and raised expectations for what could come next. This year, Sony is now releasing the...
With over a decade of unparalleled excellence in the OLED domain, LG's newest OLED evo TVs enhance the viewing experience through self-lit picture quality, the latest AI-driven processor, and an upgraded webOS platform that offers an array of smart features, alongside access to a continually expanding library of content with LG channels.
OLED's pixel-level dimming enables each of the panel's pixels to brighten, dim, or power off completely, displaying exceptional picture detail, contrast, and depth; Pantone Validated for rich, full-range color fidelity; EyeComfort Mode evaluates your room's brightness and adjusts the TV's contrast settings accordingly
Dont buy an OLED. No way it will be burn free for 5+ years in your case. I personally dont keep any OLED for more than 12-18 month. Thats the limit before burn-in for sure shows up. People telling others that their C9 from 5 years ago is still burn-in free are either lying or never watched the panel on a 2-5% greyscale scene.
The Samsung OLED tech uses some kind of blue pixel tech, I wonder if that's a cause. OLED contrast; High refresh rates; The brightness of this newer OLED tech. However to counter some of the above: Both my phone, iPad and PC screens run at 120Hz, and they aren't a problem; My phone and laptop are both 4K OLED screens with high nit levels.
The colors are MUCH better than the G3, although color volume wise it isnt a match for QD OLED. I'd say the difference is only noticeable maybe 5% of the time in my estimation. Motion i actually prefer on the LG because of the cinematic preset which is perfect, and upscaling is VERY close if not identical to the sony.
Samsung QD OLED = goes back to Glossy and a 42" 4K QD-OLED TV Samsung is switching back to glossy for their QD-OLED TVs... and that there is finally a 42" / 43" 4K or 48" / 49" 4K QD-OLED TV with the Brightness Level of an 2024 S95D .. so that Samsungs QD-OLED can compete in Size with the 42" / 48" C OLED Series
The deal between Samsung and LG is not signed (yet). If that happens, it will be interesting to see what Samsung will do. I would expect they will announce at least one more OLED TV Series then (S90B/S80B for example). It is very unlikely that they will mix WOLED and QD-OLED panels within the S95B series due to different specs.
