The Hoover–Minthorn House is a museum in Newberg, Oregon, United States, created from the residence of Herbert Hoover, thirty-first President of the United States.Hoover lived there from 1885 to 1891, with his uncle and aunt John and Laura Minthorn.
Newberg is located on Oregon Route 99W, approximately 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Portland. Springbrook, once a separate community, is now considered part of Newberg. Outdoor concerts are held at the L. B. Day Amphitheatre, which was named in 1987 for L. B. Day, an Oregon State Senator and supporter of the fair.
