Lego House is a 12,000-square metre building filled with 25 million Lego bricks in Billund, Denmark, located near Legoland and the headquarters of The Lego Group. It is also known as Home of the Brick with reference to Billund, where Lego originates.

Christiansen selected Lego, and the company began using it on its products. Following the Second World War, plastics became available in Denmark, and Lego purchased a plastic injection molding machine in 1947. [3]: 25 One of the first modular toys to be produced was a truck that could be taken apart and reassembled.
Lego is a shortened form of the Danish word Leg godt, meaning "play well". [12] The company eventually became known as The Lego Group. [ citation needed ] Years later, he said, "Not until the day when I said to myself, 'You must make a choice between carpentry and toys' did I find the real answer."

Godtfred Kirk Christiansen (8 July 1920 – 13 July 1995) [1] was the managing director of The Lego Group from 1957 to 1973. He was the third son of company founder Ole Kirk Christiansen and took over as managing director in 1957, eventually becoming the sole owner.
