Colombo Land and Development Company PLC (CLDC) is a Sri Lankan property development and holding company involved in mixed development projects in the real estate and retail sector. Established on 8 December 1981, CLDC was subsequently listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange on 19 March 1986.

Provincial governments of Sri Lanka are the devolved governments of the nine Provinces of Sri Lanka. In accordance with the Sri Lankan constitution , provinces have legislative power over a variety of matters including agriculture, education, health, housing, local government, planning, road transport and social services.
Sri Lankan state-sponsored colonization schemes is the government program of settling mostly Sinhalese farmers from the densely populated wet zone into the sparsely populated areas of the dry zone.
