We have a radio in the IH986 from Shoup that is very nice. the neighbor uses them for a lot of planter and combine wear parts and we will do the same this year. The cab blower motor for the 986 from Shoup only made it a year before the magic smoke came out. We bought the next one at the dealer but I am not sure there is a difference.

Me and a neighbour combined an order for disc planter parts from Shoup a few months ago. We got about 1.2 cu m of parts packed in a container. We also bought sprayer parts from Spraysmarter. We had Mainfreight organize the freight and customs part. Was a little time consuming being the first time but will be easier next time with the experience.

  4. Shoup parts VS OEM? CIH 1200 Planters | The Combine Forum

    www.thecombineforum.com/threads/shoup-parts-vs-oem-cih-1200-planters.336587

I see Shoup offers 2 different opening disc thicknesses. 3.5mm (this is the standard CIH available disc thickness) and also a 4.5mm thick disc. In this case the price difference between the two shoup parts is negligible but on our HARD clay we are always running MAX down pressure. Any thoughts on value vs wear? Thanks for any input!!! ~Gary

Ordered from Shoup many times, very good quality parts and fast shipping. Got some parts that showed up in less than 20 hours after the time of ordering at Shoup. Haven't used Sloan for very many parts. We always check Shoup if we can wait to get certain parts. Landon

shoup is the best, pleased with every order. Junked out my OEM Case IH Universal display planter monitor , sensors, wiring harness , replaced with all Dicky john from shoup and works 10 times better . Saved a lot of headaches . Shoup's got my vote . Petty Farms ,TN

Here is my take on it, I use parts from both shoup and Sloan, some parts are actually better in my opinion but there are a lot of parts that are just about as good but the price paid for what you get generally the after market is the better bang for your buck but as always check OEM first as sometimes its rare but I have caught a few things that are cheaper OEM

I have had good luck in the past with Shoup parts, with that said, I just finished rebuilding my 1083 with everything you mentioned except the new troughs. The adjustable deck plate was easy to install, it is a Polytin kit. You will definitely have lots of adjustment on the plates, I think I will really like it on a dry variable year. Brian
