Avoid Banfield Wellness Plans. The short story is that if you want to cancel (even if your pet dies) you will still have to make payments for the rest of the year of coverage. In my case it is even worse. I brought in a cat to have a pre-op visit before having a lump removed. The vet mentioned that I would save money with the wellness plan, so ...
Banfield Wellness Plan Cancellation & Refund Experiences. My wife signed up for Banfield's Wellness plan when we first got our puppy about 2 1/2 yrs ago. We went to about 2-3 visits and had his initial shots and exams there and decided to not come back again due to mistreatment and terrible customer service. I was under the impression that she ...
Hi there- I’m getting my Boston terrier puppy this weekend and I’m thinking of enrolling him on the Banfield wellness plan, my mom and some friends has had some positive experience with them, but reading online I find a lot of mixed comments. So basically for my dog it would be $600 for year 1, (incl. Neutering) and I’ve done some math ...
Because if you're still paying for services, then no, its not worth it. Personally would recommend just getting with a normal vet and not corporate. Banfield does not have the diagnostics available to them if your dog gets really sick. I don't even think they have xrays. Either way, I know we've gotten a lot of sick patients from them because ...
Avoid the Banfield plan it's a waste of money and to me the care is sub pare. If you're interested in pet insurance there are a lot of great options out there. The ones I see the most are TruPanion, Embrace, HealtyPaws and VPI (not a fan of VPI though). It is different than human insurance. You need to pay the vet upfront and the insurance will ...
I had great experiences with Banfield in other parts of the state but hated my experiences in Portland. My family had 3 pets in 3 different households on the plan (2 puppies, 1 cat). We found it hard to get appointments without a significant wait and they constantly recommended out of pocket tests ($$).
Standard insurance usually includes accident and illness and the you can add the preventative care as a bonus. Basically, with the wellness plan you can only use Banfield and if your dog goes for anything but preventative care it'll still cost a lot, with actual insurance more will be covered and you can go virtually anywhere. 4. 3TipsyCoachman3.
And yes, ours (Active Care Plus) has been worth it every year. Mainly because of the dental cleaning being included. In our area the out-of-pocket price for dental cleaning varies from $800 to $2,000 so the Optimum Wellness Plan has been a no brainer for our dog to get his choppers cleaned.
Sort by: Samantha_I_Am. • 13 yr. ago. I'm not sure how it's working out for you, but we purchased the wellness plan for our pup, and it covered her spay and all of her basic shots for the year. We pay about $30 a month (~$360 for the year) and the shots and spay would have cost us at least $700 alone, not including the visits to have them ...
In this situation the client is responsible for the remaining payments on the plan or the full retail value for services or discounts used under the plan less payments made (whichever is less). To cancel or set a plan to non-renew call 888-649-2716. Reply. Mnemonics19. •.
