assuming you have a Chase checking account, your break-even point there is around $1250. As in, if you are taking out less than $1250 worth of Euros, you are paying more than using the ATM overseas. For physical money: You can order currency at a branch and it will be a much better rate than any of the kiosks which usually have terrible rates. Even the ATM fees will usually be lower. The exact fees for those depends on which bank account type you have. The Sapphire Preferred and Reserve have no exchange fees.
