The background is now white, colors have been tweaked to depict a lighter midsection, spots are present but dimmed out, the injuries/scarring is completely gone (though tapering cuts are present on the pectoral and dorsal fins), and it overall a more sleeker aesthetic compared with the previous recon.
(Specifically, the red cloth in the lower right of the figure - it has a LOT of white reflection spots, that I'm removing at 800% zoom. But that's the only bit of restoration left.) I could use someone with Photoshop proper to do some final vignetting fixes - Photoshop makes those a lot easier - but the cleanup's almost done.
The Naobaoguo Formation, from where it is known, was a fluvial/lacustrine deposit and I'm not aware of any evidence for the meme volcano in the background. Burrowing might be reasonable, though. I can't tell at the level of artistic resolution, but if the canine is visible then so should at least the first incisor in front of it.
