If BB val is $3000 now, reasonable guess of $3500 then, +/-200 or so. ok4450 January 21, 2010, 5:20pm 6. Basing a vehicle value on condition may not be entirely accurate either because the majority of opinions on their personal cars are usually subjective rather than objective. A determination of excellent condition may mean good, good may mean ...
It’s more of a guessing game than most people realize. oldbodyman August 30, 2011, 2:51am 3. Kelley and Edmunds are always high in their prices. NADA is what the dealers use. Now in add’s they will so much off Kelley or Edmunds. But if you check NADA that price will be right on NADA’s or real close.
NADA valuation has a ROUGH, AVERAGE & CLEAN values, with frame damage only mentioned in the rough valuation, it also didn’t have some of the options on the car nor the GM Cert. NADA values were ROUGH - $14350, AVERAGE - $15600 and CLEAN - $16600. When we bought the car our CU used the NADA prices for valuation.
I’ll bring my NADA book with me and hop on anything substantially below book–willing to walk away if everything gets bid to the sky. I just think–in the rust belt, especially–the market over-values miles, and under-values age. I think a 3-yo car with mega-miles could be a solid car for a while to come, at a decent price.

According to the RMV (Registry of Motor Vehicle) site, the state collects sales tax of 6.25% on the higher value of the actual sales price or the NADA guide posted price. My problem is that my car has had fender benders on all corners (cosmetically not very appealing); the check engine light is on, and the seller was leaving the country 3 ...
For a 2001 Audi A6 Station wagon with 74k miles, I get widely differing prices: Edmunds: 10,300 NADA: 12,700 ...
It usually requires a factory level scan tool to bleed the ABS after the system has been opened to replace a component. Tester. It’s easy enough for a diy’er to test that the booster holds vacuum. worth doing, but my guess is the same as above, the "softness " problem will only go away after a proper brake system bleed procedure. And this ...
A loaded 2003 Dodge Sprinter (same truck) in clean condition and 260,000 miles is worth about $3500 in a private sale. Even if that’s doubled, it is still way under the asking price. BTW, you will need to know the RV manufacturers name, not the truck they built it on. If this is a home made RV, I would not pay more than $3000 for it.
General Discussion. George_San_Jose1 October 22, 2024, 12:22am 1. Dealerships tend to take some hard knocks here, harder than deserved imho. I got to thinking that dealerships must sometimes be victims of fraudsters, folks “buying” a car with a bad check etc. Or I expect there are a variety of warranty scams.
