The warehouse was a major shipping and distribution center at the time. In 1990, the Morton International Building, now the Boeing International Headquarters, was built on the original Butler Brothers Warehouse lot facing the river. Because of this, only the top block of The Gogo Building can now be seen from the Chicago River.
The building was designed by George C. Nimmons for Reid, Murdoch & Company to be used as offices and a grocery warehouse. [5] It was used as a makeshift hospital on 24 July 1915 after the S.S. Eastland capsized in the Chicago River on the opposite shore, directly across from the building. [5]

Mall entrance in 2010 before redevelopment. The 25-story office tower is the ninth-tallest habitable building in St. Louis at a height of 375 feet (114 m). [1]
The Washington Avenue Historic District is located in Downtown West, St. Louis, Missouri along Washington Avenue, and bounded by Delmar Boulevard to the north, Locust Street to the south, 8th Street on the east, and 18th Street on the west. The buildings date from the late 19th century to the early 1920s.
