Charles Ward "Chuck" Smith (June 25, 1927 – October 3, 2013) was an American pastor who founded the Calvary Chapel movement. Beginning with the 25-person Costa Mesa congregation in 1965, Smith's influence now extends to "more than 1,000 churches nationwide and hundreds more overseas", [1] some of which are among the largest churches in the United States.
Ephesians 3 is the third chapter of the Epistle to the Ephesians in the New Testament of the Christian Bible.Traditionally, it is believed to have been written by Apostle Paul while he was in prison in Rome (around AD 62), but more recently it has been suggested that it was written between AD 80 and 100 by another writer using Paul's name and style.
In August 2016, Eerdmans withdrew the two commentaries which Peter O'Brien has contributed to the series (on Ephesians and Hebrews) on account of plagiarism. According to Eerdmans, the commentary on Hebrews in particular ran afoul "of commonly accepted standards with regard to the utilization and documentation of secondary sources." [3]
