Byzantine Egyptian papyrus fragment. A literary fragment is a piece of text that may be part of a larger work, or that employs a 'fragmentary' form characterised by physical features such as short paragraphs or sentences separated by white space, and thematic features such as discontinuity, ambivalence, ambiguity, or lack of a traditional narrative structure.
The Rylands Library Papyrus P52, also known as the St John's fragment and with an accession reference of Papyrus Rylands Greek 457, is a fragment from a papyrus codex, measuring only 3.5 by 2.5 inches (8.9 cm × 6.4 cm) at its widest (about the size of a credit card), and conserved with the Rylands Papyri at the John Rylands University Library Manchester, UK.

However, a minor sentence is an irregular type of sentence that does not contain a main clause, e.g. "Mary!", "Precisely so.", "Next Tuesday evening after it gets dark."
Papyrus 90, also known as P. Oxy. L 3523, is a small fragment from the Gospel of John 18:36-19:7. It is designated by the siglum 𝔓 90 in the Gregory-Aland numbering of New Testament manuscripts. Using the study of comparative writing styles ( palaeography ), it has been assigned to the late 2nd century CE.
