erwin Data Modeler (stylized as erwin but formerly as ERwin) is computer software for data modeling.Originally developed by Logic Works, erwin has since been acquired by a series of companies, before being spun-off by the private equity firm Parallax Capital Partners, which acquired and incorporated it as a separate entity, erwin, Inc., managed by CEO Adam Famularo.
The gravity model of migration is a model in urban geography derived from Newton's law of gravity, and used to predict the degree of migration interaction between two places. [1] In 1941, astrophysicist John Q. Stewart [ 2 ] applied Newton's law to the social sciences, establishing a theoretical foundation for the field of social physics.
They settled on five themes: location, place, relationships within places (later changed to human-environment interaction), relationships between places (later shortened to movement), and region. [4] The themes were not a "new geography" but rather a conceptual structure for organizing information about geography. [1]
