Catoosa County is a county in the Northwest region of the U.S. state of Georgia. According to the 2020 census , the population was 67,872. [ 1 ] The county seat is Ringgold . [ 2 ]

Boynton was originally called "Peavine", and under the latter name, the first permanent settlement was made in 1850. [2] A post office called Boynton was in operation from 1890 until 1903. [3]
