Lewisham College is a further education college in the London Borough of Lewisham, south-east London. It was established in 1990, having previously been known as SELTEC (South East London College of Technology [ 1 ] ) since the early 1970s, which was run by the Inner London Education Authority.

The college is a free-standing institution responsible for its own affairs. The original site in Lewisham is called Christ the King: Emmanuel. The college is run by its Principal and senior staff, whose appointment is one of the tasks of the governing body. The Church provides guidelines to ensure that the institution retains its Catholic ethos.
Deptford is an area on the south bank of the River Thames in southeast London, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and London Borough of Lewisham. It is named after a ford of the River Ravensbourne. From the mid 16th century to the late 19th it was home to Deptford Dockyard, the first of the Royal Dockyards.

Kidbrooke is an area of south-east London, England, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich 7 + 1 ⁄ 2 miles (12 km) south-east of Charing Cross and north west of Eltham.. The district takes its name from the Kyd Brook, a watercourse which runs from Orpington to Lewisham, by which point it is part of the River Quaggy.
