It stars Vijay in the titular role with Hansika Motwani and Genelia D'Souza, while Santhanam, Saranya Mohan, Soori, Abhimanyu Singh, and Vineet Kumar play other prominent roles.
It is a remake of 2003 Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha. The film stars John Abraham, alongside Vidyut Jammwal and Genelia D'Souza, Raj Babbar, Mukesh Rishi, Mohnish Bahl and Kamlesh Sawant. The soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj and Lalit Pandit, with background score by Sameer Phaterpekar.
The film was however banned in western districts of Tamil Nadu. [7] Upon release, Vivek's dialogues relating to the business community Gounder and scenes pertaining to the community were removed. [8] People of the Kongu caste disrupted the screening of the film as the film made negative remarks against their caste. [9]
The film stars Rana Daggubati and Genelia D'Souza in the lead roles. Production began in April 2011 and features music by Chakri. The film was released on 23 March 2012. It is dubbed into Tamil as Kadhal Nayagan. This film is Genelia's last Telugu film till date.
