Petersen Rock Garden, formerly Petersen's Rock Garden and also known as the Petersen Rock Gardens, [2] [3] is a rock garden and museum on 4 acres (1.6 ha), located between the cities of Bend and Redmond in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States.

Bend formed a recreation department and hired its first director in April 1949. Before then, summer youth activities were organized jointly with the local school district. The park was conceived by the Bend Park & Recreation District and the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance (BPTA) in 2007, [1] and cost $9,681,985, including $1.13 million in community fundraising by the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance. [2] It opened in September 2015.
