Legoland Deutschland Resort (also known as Legoland Germany) is a Legoland park located in Günzburg in southern Germany, roughly halfway from Munich to Stuttgart, which opened in 2002. It is 43.5 hectares (107 acres) in area, and it is one of the four most popular theme parks in Germany. [ 1 ]

They are owned and operated by the British theme park company Merlin Entertainments, which shares a common owner with the Lego Group.
LEGOLAND continues to expand, opening a new park in Korea and adding a number of attractions, rides and entertainment at their parks around the world.
The attractions of Günzburg include the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) built by Dominikus Zimmermann, the margraves' castle (the only Habsburg castle built in Germany), the Reisensburg fort, today the congress centre of the University of Ulm and the nearly-intact old town centre. In 2002 Legoland built a theme park near the town.

The first Legoland park was built in Lego's home town of Billund in Denmark in 1968. This was followed by Legoland Windsor Resort in Windsor, England, Legoland California in Carlsbad, United States and Legoland Deutschland Resort in Günzburg, Germany. In addition, Legoland Sierksdorf was opened in 1973 but soon closed in 1976.
Hansa-Park is a seasonal amusement park in Sierksdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany off the Baltic Sea. It was opened on May 15, 1977 under the name Hansaland and renamed Hansa-Park in 1987. It currently spans 113 acres (0.46 km 2) and includes more than 125 attractions. From 1973 to 1976, the site was home to the first German Legoland. [1]: 57
The first installation opened at Legoland California in 2001 as Technic Coaster. [1] This was followed by Legoland Deutschland's Project X – Test Strecke and Legoland Billund's X-treme Racers in 2002. [2] [3] On March 20, 2004, Jungle Coaster opened at Legoland Windsor in the Adventure Land section of the park. [4]
