Crandall is a city in Kaufman County, Texas, United States. Its population was 5,100 in 2023. [ 4 ] It began as a railway town , developing alongside the Texas Trunk Railroad in the early 1880s. [ 5 ]

Randall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas.As of the 2020 census, its population was 140,753. [1] Its county seat is Canyon. [2] The county was created in 1876 and later organized in 1889. [3]
Terrell is located in northern Kaufman County. U.S. Route 80 passes through the city center, leading west to Dallas and east 15 miles (24 km) to Wills Point. Interstate 20 passes through the south side of the city, leading west 19 miles (31 km) to Interstate 635 in the southeastern suburbs of Dallas (Balch Springs) and east 27 miles (43 km) to Canton.
A bypass from US 175 east of Crandall to present FM 148 was legislated on August 16, 2023. [3] When this bypass is built, FM 148 will be rerouted over it, Farm to Market Road 3039 will be extended east over the old route of FM 148 to the bypass, and the remainder of the old route will be redesignated as FM Spur 148.

U.S. Highway 175 (US 175) is a 111.0-mile (178.6 km) east-west United States Numbered Highway located completely within the state of Texas.It comes very close to meeting its parent route, US 75, but decommissioning and rerouting in Downtown Dallas leaves it short a couple of miles.
