Burt Township is a civil township of Alger County in the U.S. state of Michigan.As of the 2020 census, its population was 411. [3]The township contains the community of Grand Marais, which contains numerous historic structures, including the Pickle Barrel House and the Grand Marais Harbor of Refuge Inner and Outer Lights.

In 2003 the Grand Marais Historical Society acquired the property. They undertook the project of restoring the structure to its original condition. [ 4 ] On July 3, 2005, after much work and with a budget of $125,000 (equivalent to $187,000 in 2023 [ 9 ] ) in expenses the renovated Pickle Barrel House was opened to the public.
The segment running east of Grand Marais to Deer Park in Luce County is a gravel road that connects to H-37 in Muskallonge Lake State Park. A roadway was present along parts of today's H-58 by the late 1920s; initially, this county road was gravel or earth between Munising and Kingston Corners and connected with other roads to Grand Marais.
Rose Terrace was a private home located at 12 Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Built in 1934 by Anna Dodge, widow of automobile pioneer Horace E. Dodge, it was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1971 [2] and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. [1] Despite this, the house was demolished in 1976.
