Turf Moor is an association football stadium in Burnley, Lancashire, England, which has been the home of Burnley Football Club since 1883. This unbroken service makes Turf Moor the second-longest continuously used ground in English professional football .
In October 2010 the club formally registered an interest in conjunction with Newham Borough Council in taking over the nearby 2012 Olympic Stadium. The plan involved a 60,000-capacity stadium and the retention of the running track. A converted Olympic stadium would be part of the 2018 World Cup bid.
