In September 2006, apart from the legal station identification, WKTI DJs no longer voiced the "W" in its call sign. The branding changed to 94-5 'KTI, Milwaukee's Hit Music Channel. In late 2006, Bob Reitman semi-retired, moving on to a weekly program on local public radio station WUWM. Gene Mueller continued the morning show with Amy Taylor ...

WTMJ (620 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Owned by Good Karma Brands, the station has a news/talk radio format. Its sign-on dates back to 1922 and for most of its history it was owned by The Milwaukee Journal newspaper.
The station was granted an initial construction permit for 94.9 FM in November 2015. Originally called WMDS, it switched its call sign to WAMS in May 2016. On April 1, 2017, the station signed on the air with a triple-A format as "94.9 WAMS", [2] programmed under an LMA between Miriam Media and Robin Rothschild.
The station tweaked its format to classic rock in early 2005, as the classic hits format itself in the industry drifted towards a more pop-leaning sound with 80s and early 90s music. WKLH has long been a ratings success in the Milwaukee area, and has also won many awards, including Radio & Records "Classic Rock Station of the Year" in 2001.
Throughout the 1980s, WQYX was an affiliate of Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 and Retro Pop Reunion. In October 2016, First Media reached a deal to sell its remaining stations in West Central Pennsylvania to Seven Mountains Media for $4.5 million. At this point, WQYX was broadcasting a hot adult contemporary format branded as 93.1 WQYX.
A running joke also occurs during the Weekly Top 40 Challenge, whenever it has a sponsor for that week, Dees would precede it by saying "because this show has no budget!" (This is similar in context to the Inside the NBA segment E.J.'s Neat-O Stat of the Night, where it is known for its similar lack of continued sponsorship).
WPTT is powered at 500 watts using a non-directional antenna but must go off the air at night to avoid interference. AM 1540 is a clear channel frequency, reserved for Class A stations KXEL in Waterloo, Iowa, and ZNS-1 in Nassau, Bahamas. Programming on WPTT is heard around the clock on 200-watt FM translator W225CP at 92.9 MHz. [3]
