Cheerleader Nation is an American reality television series series that was broadcast on Lifetime. It based on the Lexington, Kentucky-based Paul Laurence Dunbar High School cheerleading team's ups and downs on the way to Nationals to win a third time. Paul Laurence Dunbar High School (PLD/PLDHS), also known as Dunbar High School, [3] is a public high school located at 1600 Man o' War Boulevard on the southwest side of Lexington, Kentucky, United States. The school is one of six high schools in the Fayette County Public Schools district. The school was opened in 1990.

Dunbar competes in the Chicago Public League (CPL) and is a member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). [20] Dunbar sport teams are known as MightyMen/MightyWomen. The Boys' basketball team were Public League champions in the 1955–1956 season and regional champions in 2011–2012.

Cheer Athletics began in May 1994 when co-founders Jody Melton and Angela Rogers began their first practice with 2 athletes at a local park in Plano, TX. 1995-1996. The 1995-96 season brought many new challenges. Cheer Athletics had more than tripled in size since nationals, with 3 main teams: Panthers, Tigers, Jags.
